A day in Lihue

What I learned in Lihue yesterday:

I took Ansley by the Jr College to try to get her admitted with an ACT score of 22 and a completed HS transcript. The secretary tried to tell me they wouldn't let her in until she was 16 and had taken and passed the GED. I explained that according to ACT standards she was ready for college coursework; it said right on the score report. She said she would pass my request along to the Dean. Went back to drop off some additional information and bottom line... they will admit her pending her COMPASS scores. So it is back to Lihue again today for her to test at 3:00.

Other things I learned today... It is almost impossible to by a twin box spring without pruchasing a top matress.

Carol at Home depot in the special order department will take your estimate for carpet, will tell you that she will adjust your estimate and add your 10% coupon and come out and tell you that she has fixed it all and ask for your credit card. When you analyze the bottom line you will discover that she HAS adjusted for the 10% but has also RAISED the cost of the carpet over a dollar a yard.

Ron, the manager at home depot can get disgusted with what Carol did and give you a generous discount on your carpet order.
